ORIGINAL: goldenboy ORIGINAL: Ølivavu_ The fashionable dicks that have invaded Reading would be the ones most likely to buy the DVD. I don't care anyway, of all the shows I've seen at Reading, Pearl Jam's was the best - and I have that on DVD already, along with Faith No More at Download. Screw having Arctic Monkeys or Franz Ferdinand on DVD...they suck the root. i dont get why having the trendy kids ruins reading for people, all u gota do is either ignore them or **** them off. no need for them to get in the way of a brilliant weekend Its hard to ignore them when they are everywhere though!
You're perfect, yes, it's true, but without me you're only you. Your menstruating heart, it ain't bleedin' enough for two.

ORIGINAL: saltybugger ORIGINAL: satsuma_hat ORIGINAL: saltybugger ORIGINAL: PopPunkSteveO Great idea... bbc footage is absoloute **** in fairness, all they show is the indie bands and never dwell on the public there. Except last year they had to show a decent amount of Metallica after the Live Earth debacle - really sensible idea to cut away from Enter Sandman live in favour of a repeat BBC. the live earth was such a joke. I know - but Metallica the next day certainly wasn't. I went to that gig the day after, it was immense!

UBER bump. Just wondered if this had been discussed since? Doubt it but I want! Also, RG I think you once said you had loads of discs of the festival, if this isn't an option. Would you ever share said collection?

In my view as long as someones not acting like a total idiot then they are welcome at Reading, Just because they like different music to me or dress differently doesn't bother me. What does bother me is when people who are just utter ****s come to the festival to cause trouble on the Sunday :/

To be fair, that would make for good reading. Busting some chav for burnign stuff then cutting to some youngsters knobbing behind a tree before cutting to someone throwing a bottle of **** at the Ting Tings... I'd buy it.

Lets do it then, it'd be like cops, only us with a video camera and no real law to support our actions.

It would be great for it to come out on DVD.. it would be a good high quality record of the event.. a few years down the line you might wanna look back at the bands that played etc.. i find myself looking back at the past fests on youtube etc. but the footage can be patchy.. having a DVD will hopefully keep it out there in decent quality on the internet, and those who want it can have their own copies at home as well. Gets my thumbs up.. i'd definitely buy one.

I'd definitely buy the DVD, and I think it's a no brainer to actually release one. Think about it, if the festival consistently sells out in the face of adverse global financial conditions, price increases and people plain not knowing who will play before buying the ticket, then asking for a tenner for a disc isn't a massive ask. The main problem comes in securing the sales, maybe as a "we will send it to you when it's finished" affair or USB medium could work when leaving, or when people order the next years tickets by presale offering it then.
